Mine and Eric's History

Eric and I met in 1998 through mutual friends. We dated (non exclusively) on and off for a year or so. Something (maybe fate) always seemed to draw us together. The stars never really aligned for us during that period of time. Maybe we were too young, who knows. I was a junior in high school and I guess really didn't know what I wanted out of life. We did date other people, some of those relationships serious, majority were not. One of the last times we dated ended pretty abruptly and not on a good note. Mostly due to my inability to committ to anything. You know they say you never really know what you got until it's gone. Whoever "they" are, were very correct. Needless to stay I was heartbroken about the split. However, as it always happened for us, fate intervened and we ended up hanging out one night (September 25th, 1999) and it seemed right. We were both seeing other people but knew we belonged together and knew we loved each other. We ended those other realtionships immediately. Everything just fell into place for us from then on. We moved in together in the summer of 2001. We bought a trailer and an acre of land right across the road from his parents. We lived together for about three years and then he asked me to marry him in November 2003. My birthday to be exact. I remember so clearly...I just got out of the shower and was so sick (the flu maybe) and had my bathrobe on and was sitting on the couch looking like a little drowned rat feeling like I had been hit by a truck and then he asked me to close my eyes (I swear I had no idea what he was doing and to be honest I was so sick I didn't care) and then when I opened them he was on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes! I was so happy! We wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner but because I was so sick, we went to Hardee's in Elba instead to celebrate and then back to the house. After many phone calls the wedding plans started. We got married less than a year later on July 31, 2004. We had a very small ceremony at his parents house and then honeymooned in Biloxi, MS. About 6 months later we got pregnant with our first child, Ezra. He was born on December 06, 2005.

We were so blessed and so very happy. Of course our lives changed dramatically after that. We were parents and stopped alot of our traveling (which is something we done often before we had kids) for awhile. Ezra was the light of our lives. We honestly did not plan to have anymore children but God had something else in store for us. I became pregnant with our second child, Abbey in 2008. She was born on September 10, 2008.

So, now here we are with our two wonderful children. We are very happy together and very blessed with the life that we have together. He works at Sikorsky in Troy and loves his job. I work at National Security in Elba and love my job as well. We each have our own hobbies and then hobbies we enjoy doing together. Our plan is to one day build a beautiful house in Jack, AL. No matter where we live we plan on growing old together.
